How your puppy reaches Goa

We fly with the puppy into Goa, using whichever of the state's two airports, Dabolim in the south or Mopa in the north, is closer to you and has the better flight that day. Panaji, Porvorim, Mapusa and Calangute are a short drive from Mopa; Margao, Vasco da Gama and Ponda are close to Dabolim.

Someone from our family travels with the puppy, in the cabin where the airline allows it, and hands it to you at home with its vet certificate and vaccination card.

Nothing is booked until you have seen the mother, here in Delhi or on an unedited video call, and agreed the route and the price of the journey. No puppy travels before eight weeks of age. More on how this works on our delivery across India page.

Goa's weather and a curly coat

Goa is humid all year, and the monsoon from June to September is heavy. A Poodle or Goldendoodle coat does not shed; it holds moisture against the skin, so in Goa the coat needs to stay short year-round, be dried thoroughly after every wet walk, and the ears need checking every week.

Poodles were bred as water retrievers and many love the sea. After a swim, rinse the salt and sand out with fresh water and dry the dog completely, right down to the skin.

Which breed suits Goa?

For Goa we usually steer families towards a Toy Poodle, which has the least coat to manage, or an F1 Goldendoodle, whose coat is a little looser than an F1B's. A Standard Poodle can live happily in Goa too, but only in a short clip and with real grooming discipline.

Do you deliver Poodle and Goldendoodle puppies to Panaji, Porvorim and Mapusa?

Yes. We deliver across Goa, including Panaji, Porvorim, Mapusa, Calangute, Margao, Vasco da Gama and Ponda. The puppy is handed to you in person, with its vet certificate, vaccination card and papers.

How does a puppy travel from Delhi to Goa?

By accompanied flight into Dabolim or Mopa, whichever is closer to you, then a short drive. Someone from our family travels with the puppy and hands it over in person.

Is the weather in Goa suitable for a Poodle or Goldendoodle?

It can be, with work. Goa's year-round humidity is hard on a curly coat, so keep it short, dry it thoroughly every time and check the ears weekly. A Toy Poodle or an F1 Goldendoodle is the easiest choice.

Are puppy prices higher in Goa?

No. Our prices are the same everywhere in India: Toy Poodle from ₹45,000, Goldendoodle from ₹75,000 and Standard Poodle from ₹85,000. Delivery to Panaji and the rest of Goa is charged at the actual travel cost, with no markup, and we tell you the figure before you commit.

Can I see the puppy and its mother before it comes to Panaji?

Yes. You are welcome to visit our home in Delhi by appointment, or we do an unedited live video call with the mother and the litter. We do not place a puppy with anyone who has not seen its mother.

Can my Poodle swim in the sea in Goa?
