The sunshine hybrid. Raised in our home, health-checked by a vet, and placed with families across Chennai. Standard Poodles and Goldendoodles are our speciality — and we would rather you met the mother than took our word for anything.

A Goldendoodle crosses a Golden Retriever with a Standard Poodle, taking the Golden's easy warmth and the Poodle's brain and low-shedding coat. Generation matters: an F1 is a first cross and its coat can vary; an F1B is bred back to a Poodle and is far more reliably low-shedding — which is what most allergy-conscious Indian families should be asking for.
Joyful, social, gentle, patient with children, eager to please
50–60 cm (Standard) · 40–50 cm (Medium)
20–30 kg (Standard) · 13–20 kg (Medium)
Wavy to curly, low-shedding. Brush 2–3 times a week and book professional grooming every 6–8 weeks. The coat changes texture between 8 and 14 months — brushing frequency needs to go up during that transition or it will mat.
Excellent — adapts readily to Indian flats
Chennai combines sustained heat with coastal humidity, which is the toughest combination for a heavy coat. Both breeds live very well here — but with air conditioning or good cross-ventilation during the day and a genuinely disciplined walking schedule: before 6:30am and after 7pm from March to October. Keep the coat clipped shorter than you would in Delhi. Watch for ear infections, which humidity makes far more common in drop-eared dogs.
Chennai's doodle and poodle community is smaller than Bangalore's but well established, and the city has several excellent veterinary practices with real experience of coat and skin conditions in humid heat.
Availability of each colour varies by litter. Tell us what you are hoping for and we will be honest about the wait.
The classic warm gold, closest to the Golden Retriever parent.
Light golden-apricot with a soft, teddy-bear look.
Pale cream to near-white. Very popular with Indian families.
Deep russet red. Striking and uncommon.
White with coloured patches. Each dog genuinely one of a kind.
Warm brown coat, often with lighter points.
Real numbers, published openly. Most sellers quote a range so wide it tells you nothing — these are what we actually charge in Chennai.
Healthy, well-socialised family companion from health-checked parents.
Documented parentage, complete health and vaccination records.
From titled Golden Retriever and Poodle lines. Health-tested parents.
Prices reflect lineage, colour and registration. They do not change based on how keen you seem. If a quote elsewhere is dramatically below this range, ask why.

Standard Poodles and Goldendoodles are our speciality — they are what we breed ourselves and what we know in real depth. But if you have your heart set on a different breed, tell us. Over the years we have built a small network of breeders across India whom we know personally, and we can often arrange it.
We will always tell you plainly which puppies are ours and which come through our network — and we apply the same standards either way: health records, complete vaccination, and a breeder you can actually speak to. If we cannot source a breed responsibly, we will say so rather than find you one anyway.
This applies whether you buy from us or from someone else. Please read it.
Always. A seller who will not show you the dam is hiding something. Watch how she behaves around people.
Puppies raised in a home are better socialised than puppies raised in runs. Ask to see the actual space.
Parent health documentation, vaccination records, vet certificates. A genuine breeder has these ready.
Both breeds need professional grooming every 6–8 weeks for life. Find your groomer before the puppy arrives.
Pressure to pay a deposit today, or a puppy available immediately in any colour you name, are both warning signs.
Your breeder should still take your call in two years. We do — that is the point of buying from a breeder.
A health-checked, home-raised Goldendoodle puppy in Chennai ranges from ₹80,000 to ₹2,80,000. Price depends on lineage, colour and whether the puppy is KCI registered. Every puppy includes vaccination records, a deworming schedule, a vet health certificate and lifetime breeder support. We publish real numbers rather than a vague range — WhatsApp +91 92119 10059 for what is available today.
Doodle & Poodle breeds Standard Poodles and Goldendoodles only, and places puppies with families across Chennai including Adyar, Besant Nagar, Anna Nagar, T. Nagar. We are a small home-based breeder, not a pet shop or a listing marketplace. You are welcome to meet the parent dogs before deciding. See our dogs on Instagram at @standard_poodle_india.
Yes, though there are far more resellers than breeders. A genuine Goldendoodle breeder in Chennai will let you meet the mother, show you where the litter is raised, provide parent health records, and will ask you as many questions as you ask them. Anyone who has every breed available at all times is sourcing, not breeding.

Yes. Every puppy leaves with its first vaccination and deworming complete, a vet health certificate and a written booster schedule. Parent health records are available on request — please do ask, and be wary of any breeder who will not show you them.

Yes. We place puppies right across Chennai, including Adyar, Besant Nagar, Anna Nagar, T. Nagar, Velachery, OMR, Nungambakkam, Porur, ECR. Delivery within the city is arranged personally.
Yes, and we would encourage it. Our dams and sires live with us as family dogs. In Delhi NCR you can visit in person; for other cities we arrange a live video call so you can see the mother, the litter and where they are being raised.
The Kennel Club of India maintains the national pedigree register. KCI papers document lineage — useful if you plan to show or breed, and reassuring as proof of parentage. For a family companion it is optional. A KCI certificate documents ancestry; it is not by itself a guarantee of health.
Budget roughly ₹6,000–₹12,000 a month in Chennai: quality food ₹3,000–₹6,000, professional grooming every 6–8 weeks at ₹1,500–₹3,000 per session, plus routine vet care. Grooming is the cost most first-time owners underestimate — with these coats it is not optional.
A vet health certificate, complete vaccination and deworming records, a written feeding and care plan, parent health documentation, and KCI papers where applicable.
