Elegance meets intelligence. Raised in our home, health-checked by a vet, and placed with families across Mumbai. Standard Poodles and Goldendoodles are our speciality — and we would rather you met the mother than took our word for anything. This is the hardest pairing on our list: the largest breed in the smallest flats, in the most humid air. It works, but only for owners who are honest about the space and religious about drying the coat.
Mumbai's difficulty is not heat, it is humidity. The air carries salt and moisture almost all year, and from June to September the rain is relentless. A curly coat holds that damp against the skin, and hot spots follow within days if the dog is not dried down to the roots after every walk. Owners here who take drying seriously have no more trouble than anywhere else. Owners who towel the surface and move on have trouble constantly.
We have placed puppies across Bandra, Andheri, Powai, Juhu, Worli, Chembur and Thane. Space is the honest constraint. Mumbai flats are small and a Standard Poodle in a one-bedroom in Andheri is a harder proposition than the same dog in Pune. It is not impossible — these dogs settle indoors far better than their size suggests — but it depends entirely on whether the walk actually happens twice a day, every day, monsoon included.
Mumbai's damp is the whole problem. Dry to the skin after every monsoon walk, keep the clip short from June, and check the armpits and behind the ears weekly for hot spots.
Mumbai's groomers understand humidity better than most, and many will recommend a shorter clip than you were expecting. Take the advice. Expect ₹1,800–3,500 a session, higher in the western suburbs.
Carter Road, Joggers Park and the Marine Drive stretch early morning, before the heat and the crowd.
From Delhi it is an accompanied flight of roughly two hours. The puppy travels in the cabin with one of us and is handed to you directly at the airport. How delivery works across India →
Mumbai's humidity is the thing to plan for. Year-round moisture in a curly coat is what causes hot spots and fungal skin trouble, and the June-to-September monsoon makes it worse. The rule is simple and non-negotiable: never let the coat stay damp. Towel and blow-dry to the skin after every wash and every wet walk. Many Mumbai owners keep a shorter clip through monsoon — it is not a compromise, it is sensible.
Mumbai flats are compact, which suits both breeds better than people expect — these are indoor, people-oriented dogs. A Standard Poodle in a 2BHK with a proper daily walk is a happier dog than one left alone in a large house.
These are the coats and types buyers ask us for most often. Availability varies litter to litter — tell us what you are hoping for and we will be honest about the wait rather than promise you a colour we do not have.
Warm golden-apricot. Rare, much in demand, and it holds colour into adulthood better than most expect.
Deep mahogany. The most sought-after Standard Poodle colour in India, and the one with the longest wait.
Glossy jet black with dark pigment throughout. The classic, and the colour that photographs worst and looks best in person.
Cloud white with black pigment on nose and eye rims. Elegant, and shows every bit of Indian dust.
Soft off-white, warmer than a true white. Gentle and deeply people-bonded.
Rich brown with amber eyes and liver pigment. Uncommon in India.
Born black and clearing to silver by about two years. You are buying the adult colour on faith.
Two-tone white-and-colour, at least half white. See our Parti dogs on video.
Solid base with defined tan or apricot markings above the eyes, on the muzzle, chest and legs.
A parti pattern with white across the chest and forelegs against a solid body — the coat that gives it the name.
A note on names. “Giant Poodle” is not a separate breed — in India it is usually just what a large Standard is called, and you should expect 45–60 cm at the shoulder rather than anything beyond it. Anyone offering you something larger as a distinct variety is selling you a word.
Real numbers, published openly. Most sellers quote a range so wide it tells you nothing — these are what we actually charge in Mumbai.
A loving, healthy family companion from health-checked parents. No show pedigree.
Certified lineage papers, full vaccination and health records, parent documentation.
Descended from titled show parents. Health-tested lines, exceptional conformation.
Prices reflect lineage, colour and registration. They do not change based on how keen you seem. If a quote elsewhere is dramatically below this range, ask why.

Standard Poodles, Toy Poodles and Goldendoodles are what we breed ourselves, and they are the only dogs on this site we can speak about from our own experience. If you are set on something else, tell us — we know a small number of breeders around India personally and can sometimes arrange it for Mumbai. We will always say plainly which puppies are ours and which are not, and if we cannot source something responsibly we will tell you so rather than find you one anyway.
Standard Poodles · Toy Poodles · Goldendoodles · Which suits you better?
This applies whether you buy from us or from anybody else.
Ask your society first. A surprising number of Mumbai buildings have pet restrictions written into the society rules, and we have seen more than one family discover this after the puppy arrived. Get it in writing before you commit to anything, with us or anyone else.
In person if you are near us, on a live video call if you are in Mumbai. A recorded clip is not the same thing. A seller who will not show you the dam is hiding something.
Puppies raised inside a home are socialised to voices, doors and traffic before they ever reach you. Ask to see the actual room.
Parent health records, the vaccination and deworming card, a vet certificate. A real breeder has these ready without being chased.
Mumbai's groomers understand humidity better than most, and many will recommend a shorter clip than you were expecting. Take the advice. Expect ₹1,800–3,500 a session, higher in the western suburbs. Find them before the puppy arrives, not after the first mat.
Pressure to pay today, or any colour you name available immediately, are both warning signs. Good litters have waiting lists.
Your breeder should take your call two years later. From Mumbai that call is the same number you are given today.
Yes, and several of ours do. But be honest about which flat. A 1BHK in Andheri with two walks a day works. The same flat where the walk gets skipped in the monsoon does not, and the dog will tell you so by chewing your furniture. If you are unsure, tell us your daily routine and we will give you a straight answer, even if it costs us the sale.
A health-checked, home-raised Standard Poodle puppy in Mumbai ranges from ₹85,000 to ₹3,00,000. Price depends on lineage, colour and whether the puppy is KCI registered. Every puppy includes vaccination records, a deworming schedule, a vet health certificate and lifetime breeder support. We publish real numbers rather than a vague range — WhatsApp +91 92119 10059 for what is available today.
Doodle & Poodle breeds Standard Poodles and Goldendoodles only, and places puppies with families across Mumbai including Bandra, Juhu, Andheri, Powai. We are a small home-based breeder, not a pet shop or a listing marketplace. You are welcome to meet the parent dogs before deciding. See our dogs on Instagram at @standard_poodle_india.
Yes, though there are far more resellers than breeders. A genuine Standard Poodle breeder in Mumbai will let you meet the mother, show you where the litter is raised, provide parent health records, and will ask you as many questions as you ask them. Anyone who has every breed available at all times is sourcing, not breeding.

In India a shorter sport or teddy clip is far more practical than a full show trim.
Yes. Every puppy leaves with its first vaccination and deworming complete, a vet health certificate and a written booster schedule. Parent health records are available on request — please do ask, and be wary of any breeder who will not show you them.

Yes. We place puppies right across Mumbai, including Bandra, Juhu, Andheri, Powai, Worli, Lower Parel, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Malad, South Mumbai, Colaba, Goregaon. Delivery within the city is arranged personally.
Yes, and we would encourage it. Our dams and sires live with us as family dogs. In Delhi NCR you can visit in person; for other cities we arrange a live video call so you can see the mother, the litter and where they are being raised.
The Kennel Club of India maintains the national pedigree register. KCI papers document lineage — useful if you plan to show or breed, and reassuring as proof of parentage. For a family companion it is optional. A KCI certificate documents ancestry; it is not by itself a guarantee of health.
Budget roughly ₹6,000–₹12,000 a month in Mumbai: quality food ₹3,000–₹6,000, professional grooming every 6–8 weeks at ₹1,500–₹3,000 per session, plus routine vet care. Grooming is the cost most first-time owners underestimate — with these coats it is not optional.
A vet health certificate, complete vaccination and deworming records, a written feeding and care plan, parent health documentation, and KCI papers where applicable.
Standard Poodles and Goldendoodles are our speciality — they are what we breed ourselves. If you are looking for a different breed in Mumbai, tell us: we work with a small network of breeders across India whom we know personally and can often arrange it. We will always be clear about which puppies are ours and which come through our network, and the same standards apply either way — health records, complete vaccination, and a breeder you can actually speak to.
Yes. From Delhi it is an accompanied flight of roughly two hours. The puppy travels in the cabin with one of us and is handed to you directly at the airport. We do not use cargo and we do not hand puppies to agents. Travel beyond Delhi NCR is charged at actual cost with nothing added on top, and we tell you the figure before anything is booked.
