How your puppy reaches Jharkhand

We fly with the puppy into Ranchi. From there, Ramgarh and Hazaribagh are a short road journey, and Jamshedpur and Bokaro Steel City are a longer drive the same day. Deoghar has its own airport, which is often the easier route for Deoghar, Dumka and the Santhal Pargana side of the state.

Dhanbad and Giridih we route through whichever of Ranchi or Deoghar suits the flights on the day. Either way, the puppy travels with a person from our family, not in the hold, and you are told the route and the cost before you commit.

Jharkhand's weather and a curly coat

Ranchi sits on the Chota Nagpur plateau at roughly 650 metres, which keeps it noticeably cooler than the Gangetic plains: summers are warm rather than brutal, and nights cool down. That makes Ranchi one of the easier places in eastern India for a Poodle coat. Jamshedpur, Dhanbad and Bokaro are lower and hotter in May and June.

The monsoon, roughly mid-June to September, is the season to plan around. Keep a shorter clip through those months, dry the coat fully after rain, and check the ears weekly.

Which breed suits Jharkhand?

Ranchi suits a full-coated Standard Poodle better than most cities in the east, and a Giant-type Standard is happy there if it gets a proper daily walk. In the hotter industrial towns, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad and Bokaro, a Toy Poodle or a Goldendoodle in a short summer clip is the easier dog to keep comfortable.

Yes. You are welcome to visit our home in Delhi by appointment, or we do an unedited live video call with the mother and the litter. We do not place a puppy with anyone who has not seen its mother.

Is Ranchi a good city for a Standard Poodle?

Yes, one of the better ones in eastern India. Ranchi's altitude keeps summers milder than the plains, so a Standard Poodle can keep more of its coat for more of the year. Plan a shorter clip for the monsoon months.
